How You Can Help

Making a mini-pillow is easy and fun.

Please make sure that all materials are new, since we need to be sure that the pillows are germ-free.  Materials may not include any type of latex.

     Materials

  • Fabric (cotton or fleece)
  • Polyester Fill
  • Thread
  • Sewing Needle
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Gallon size plastic bag (with press and seal top)

     Directions

  • Pick an appropriate design thats bright & fun
  • Cut material to 22" x 9"
  • Fold in half, making sure that design is on the inside
  • Begin sewing at a corner closest to the side already sealed
  • Continue stitching around the three remaining sides, be sure to stop and leave an opening for the stuffing (about 3 inches).
  • Flip material inside out so that the design is now showing
  • Carefully stuff your pillow until it is soft making sure that fill is also tucked into the corners
  • Sew the remaining area closed and tie off your string.  Clip any remaining threads.
  • Inspect your pillow carefully to make sure all pins and/or needles have been removed.
  • Place your pillow in a plastic bag and seal.  This will keep it clean until we deliver it to the hospital.

That's it.  Your done!
